Happy New Year! New year = new you, right? Well, maybe not a totally new you, but  better, improved you who is actually going to stick to her/his New Year’s resolutions this year. Well, we’ve all heard of the 30-Day Yoga Challenge, but have you ever heard of  30-Day Yogurt Challenge? Nope? Let me explain…

One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions is to take advantage of all the healthy recipes on the internet and lose the few pounds which we piled on without noticing over Christmas. One of the best ways of ensuring long-term, healthy and safe weight loss is to start the day right with nutritious healthy breakfast recipes. Natural or Greek yogurt is loaded with protein, vitamins and minerals, whilst being low in saturated fat and cholesterol at the same time, making it perfect for healthy breakfast dishes.

No one wants to eat the same old boring tub of yogurt every morning for breakfast, so I’ve come up with a collection of 30 different healthy breakfast recipes with yogurt which you can use to not only lose weight this January, but also extend your kitchen creativity and discover some awesome new flavour combinations along the way!

  1. Tiramisu – maybe skip the Khalua if you’re going to eat this for breakfast
  2. Strawberry & Honey – 1/2 cup yogurt + 4 chopped strawberries + 1 tablespoon honey
  3. Lemon Cheesecake – 1/2 cup yogurt + 2 tablespoons lemon curd + 1 crushed Graham cracker
  4. Mixed Berry – 1/2 cup yogurt + 4 chopped strawberries + 6 chopped raspberries + 6 chopped blackberries
  5. Stracciatella
  6. Cinnamon Apple – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/2 diced green apple + 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  7. Key Lime Pie – 1/2 cup yogurt + juice of 1 lime + 1 crushed Graham cracker
  8. Apple & Raisin – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/2 diced green apple + 2 tablespoons raisins
  9. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1 tablespoon peanut butter + 1 tablespoon cocoa powder + 1 tablespoon honey + 1 teaspoon milk chocolate chips
  10. Chocolate Banana – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1 tablespoon cocoa powder + 1 tablespoon honey + 1/2 diced banana
  11. Strawberry Shortcake – 1/2 cup yogurt + 4 chopped strawberries + 1 crushed Graham cracker
  12. Peaches & Cream – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1 chopped peach
  13. Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt
  14. Brownie Frozen Yogurt – follow the recipe above but replace the cookie bar with this healthy brownie recipe
  15. Piña Colada – 1/2 cup yogurt + 2 pineapple rings diced + 1 tablespoon grated coconut
  16. Breakfast Berry Parfait
  17. Nutella Parfait
  18. Coconut Lime – 1/2 cup yogurt + 2 tablespoons grated coconut + juice of 1 lime
  19. Chocolate Orange – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1 tablespoon cocoa powder + 1 tablespoon honey + zest of 1 orange
  20. Blueberry Lemon – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/4 cup blueberries + juice of 1/2 lemon + 1 tablespoon honey
  21. Apple Crisp Parfait
  22. Chocolate Pomegranate – 1/1 cup yogurt + seeds from 1/2 pomegranate + 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
  23. Pumpkin Pie – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/4 cup pumpkin puree + 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  24. Savoury Cucumber – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/4 cup shredded cucumber + 5 shredded mint leaves + 1 tablespoon honeys
  25. Banana Split 
  26. Chunky Monkey – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/2 chopped banana + 1 tablespoon Nutella + 1 tablespoon peanut butter + 1 teaspoon milk chocolate chips
  27. Yogurt Breakfast Popsicles
  28. Tropical – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/2 chopped kiwi + 1/2 chopped mango + 2 pineapple rings diced
  29. Cinnamon Bun – 1/2 cup yogurt + 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon + 1 tablespoon honey
  30. Muller Corner – 1/2 cup yogurt + 2 tablespoons strawberry jam

    I don’t think the chunky monkey could be called that without blending but the graham crackers one require no blending.
