Don’t tell me – you’ve left it until the last minute and you need a quick and impressive cocktail you can whip up to serve on Valentine’s Day? Oh. Just me then? Only kidding! Being a food blogger, it’s quite the opposite for us actually – I’ve been feeding My Official Treat Taster all sorts of Valentine’s Day recipes since the end of December. We’d even moved onto St Patrick’s Day recipes by January!
Today is an incredible day. Not only because it’s Friday (yay, Friday!) but because today is the day you’re going to discover the only cocktail recipe you’ll ever need for the rest of your life. Yes – this Sweet Grapefruit Kiss Cocktail really is that good. And it’s only made from three ingredients!
I know, I know. It’s only Boxing Day and I’m already loading you up with New Year’s Eve cocktail recipes! My gut tells me that I should be sharing Christmas leftover recipes, like this Turkey & Cranberry Casserole or this Roast Turkey Winter Salad, but my crazy parting head is yelling at my to get as many New Year’s Eve drink recipes out before it’s too late!
I think we can all agree that mulled wine is amazing, but do you know what’s even better? Mulled sangria! That’s right – I went there. I took my go-to Vodka-Spiked Mulled Wine recipe and substituted the red wine for the same amount of sangria. The result? Amazing beyond words. So much so that I can safely say out of all the Christmas recipes I’ve tried this year – this one is my fave so far.
How do you feel about elderflower? Normally, I’m not a fan of floral flavours, but whenever elderflower is available, I’ll have one – whatever it is! The flavour is quite strong, so it’s not for everyone, but when it’s combined with a bottle of sparkling Spanish cava and a generous glug of vodka, the result is truly divine – so much so that it has become one of my ultimate favourite cocktail recipes!
