So I’ve got a game for us to play. You run into your kitchen, whip up your favourite frozen margarita recipe and see from how many different angles you can photo it. Any less than 30 and I win. And I’m being totally serious here. About the number of photos – not the game. I don’t really want you to go and make a margarita. Unless you want to, of course. It is Friday.
You know when you love a recipe oh-so much that you think there is no way you’re ever going to be able to top it ever ever ever? Well I’ve got a suggestion for you. Try throwing some alcohol in it! That’s totally what I did to this S’mores Frappuccino and ended up making a delicious summer cocktail that’s even better than the original.
You know those periods in your life where things are pretty sucky and – for reasons totally beyond your control – they’re going to be sucky forever, so you just have to get over it and move on? Well, you know how sometimes when you gradually learn to accept it, life comes along and makes everything even crappier? Well today is one of those days.
Way back in September 2012, I had my first ever strawberry basil cocktail and since then I’ve been hooked. I say cocktail…it was actually a small glass of strawberry basil vodka that I had in an ice bar in Paris. It was truly amazing – like it should have been. A venue as awesome as an ice bar should serve equally awesome drinks, right?
Whilst I’ll happily sip on whatever cocktail’s going, good ol’ cosmpolitans are one of my all-time favourites. Well, the ones I make at home are. The cosmos I’ve had in bars and restaurants are waaaay too strong, even for me. Although I love the idea of sophisticatedly sipping on martinis and cosmopolitans (believe me, whenever cocktails and I come together, things couldn’t be further away from sophisticated) I just can’t handle drinks that are 90% alcohol, you know?
