Skinny Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats for Two

Rice Krispie treats have never been one of my favourite snacks, but I’ve had a tough time keeping my hands away from these Skinny Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats for Two, I can tell you! Luckily, this recipe only makes enough for two treats – otherwise I’d be in serious trouble.

Whilst this recipe does indeed make two Skinny Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats, they are a bit on the large size, or gigantic to be more accurate. You could cut them into four and have four even skinnier treats, but I prefer my snacks to be as big as possible, so I’m sticking to two servings.

There aren’t any calorie-free sweeteners or fat-free butters in this recipe – I’ve simply experimented and used the lowest possible amounts of the fat- and sugar-laden ingredients in order to create a snack that tastes just as good as you want it to, whilst also being as skinny and as good-for-you as it can be. Sounds good, right? I thought so, too!

So, for those of you who like your sweet treats, but still like to be able to pronounce every ingredient in your recipe (I only learned today that ‘Stevia’ is pronounced stee-via and not steh-via because I saw an advert on the TV) these Skinny Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats are for you! Providing you can pronounce cereal, peanut butter, honey and chocolate, of course.

Whilst I shared my Krispie treats with My Official Treat Taster, I totally wouldn’t judge you for scoffing both on your own. Or somehow slicing them into five perfectly even bite-sized pieces to snack on at work each day. Or forgetting the slicing and eating the whole batch each day at the office because work can be stressful! If you are planning on sharing these skinny Krispie treats with someone, how about incorporating them into Valentine’s plans?

I’m not saying you should serve your special someone one of these bars as an entrée on February 14th, instead of a delicate salmon fillet and side-salad, but since this recipe only makes two portions I think it would make a cute couples snack. Cut the Krispie bars into heart shapes or decorate with cute heart sprinkles and they’re even more romantic! Skinny Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats for Two

Servings 2 giant or 4 regular-sized treats


  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon milk chocolate chips


  • Combine the peanut butter and honey in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for a few seconds until the mixture is smooth enough to stir.
  • Remove from the microwave and stir in the Rice Krispies until they're completely coated with the honey and peanut butter mixture.
  • Press into a small square or rectangular dish.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon of milk chocolate chips in the microwave and spread on top of the Krispie treats.
  • Use the remaining 1 teaspoon of milk chocolate chips to evenly decorate the treats.

You’re never too old for Rice Krispie treats.
